OUR YOUTH MINISTER
Todd Sorgea Interview:
What is your job at FCCWR? To contact Todd via email, click here.
Youth Minister. I hope to introduce the youth to Christ, give them tools & inspiration to help them follow Christ,
challenge them to go do the same .
When did you start working at FCCWR?
August of 2006, although I've attended here for as long as I can remember. There are some greatthings about serving at a church where you were a baby.
What was your first job?
Volunteer at the St. Louis Science Center. At 15 yrs. old I rode the bus from Wood River to The Science Center and worked in the Discovery Room.
Where is your favorite place to vacation?
IMy wife and I really love Gatlinburg, TN. Love the mountains and the cabins, shopping at the arts and crafts community. It's really relaxing.
If you were on American Idol, what song would you sing?
I find 'Idol' music a little too elevator. But if I were on, It would be something from Lecrae or Andy Mineo. Something evangelistic, with and edge.
Who's your favorite superhero?
I'm a Marvel Comics fanboy. If I have to pick just one... probably one of the X-men, Gambit or Nightclawer.
What food could you not live without? Two words..."Ice Cream". Just have to have a fix every once in a while. I have no idea how they survived before refridgeration.
Would you ever go bungee jumping? No way... I'm afraid of heights.
Do you dance to the music when no one is watching? no, but if you ask the youth group they would probably tell you that I dance even when people are watching.
What is your favorite pizza place? Absolute favorite was "old school" Pantera's , but even with the ones still around the pizza is not the same. I'm a deep dish, Chicago style kind of guy. (Gino's East)
How old were you when you were baptized? 15, here in the church baptistery.
Who is one of your favorite people in the Bible? John the Baptist, living on honey, out in the desert, preaching repentace, got to baptize Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit from birth. Amazing guy.
What is the one thing you want people to know about FCCWR? That we strive to be a family, we hope to share each others journeys, our trials, our victories, our faults, and our strengths, hopeful we all work together to help each other live more like Christ daily.
