Therefore is the student ministry of First Christian Church of Wood River for students in grades 6–12.


We want students to know Jesus, build real relationships, grow in their faith, and learn to live it out in everyday life.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THEREFORE?

No two Sundays look exactly alike. Throughout the year you'll experience:

  • Teaching + Equipping- Biblical teaching that helps you understand what following Jesus actually looks like, plus opportunities to practice it.
  • Family Dinner -We cook, eat, laugh, talk, and share life around the table.
  • Missional + Outreach- We serve people, engage our community, support missions, and put our faith into action.
  • Fun + Relationship -Games, trips, ridiculous competitions, Bond Together, special events, and plenty of time simply being together.

THINKING ABOUT COMING?

Come as you are. Seriously.


You don't need to register for a normal Sunday night, and you don't need to know someone before you show up. Most weeks you can simply walk in and join us.


If you're bringing a friend, even better.


Relationship is a huge part of Therefore. You don't have to have everything figured out, know all the answers, or already be “churchy” to belong here.

Why “Therefore”?

Therefore is a small word with a big purpose. Throughout Scripture, it often connects what God has done with how we are called to respond.

God acts. God loves. God saves. God reaches toward us. Therefore, we live differently.

That is what we want Therefore Students to be about. We open Scripture, see who God is and what He has done through Jesus, then ask what that means for the way we live.

Truth should lead to action. Faith should be lived out.

That is what we are here for.
